A Kansas City, MO man who coached girl’s soccer with Lee’s Summit Soccer Association is facing more charges of producing child pornography.
Joel D. White, 41, was originally arrested last April at a World Cup qualifying game where police were investigating different claims. What police discovered was a collection of videos of nude young girls on White’s camera that had been seized as part of the investigation. White was arrested and charged with three counts of producing child pornography by a federal grand jury in Missouri.
White formally admitted to videotaping girls on his team between 10 and 15 times without their knowledge, while they undressed.
Prosecutors are now charging White with 8 additional indictment charges, replacing the original three brought against him last April. White is accused of videotaping girls on his youth soccer teams where he coached a 12 and under team and an under-15 team. The girls were never aware of the videotaping activity. The Lee’s Summit Soccer Association has been cooperating with law enforcement while the investigation continues.
In some of the videos, White is allegedly seen setting up a camera in his bedroom and then exiting the room. Moments later, a group of young girls between the ages of 11 and 12 can been seen entering the room to change clothes, at which time, the girls were fully nude.
The investigation is still ongoing.
